It’s All About Balance People are complex- we are social beings who also need alone time. Since we are a combination of our DNA, personal history, and culture, finding that balance is not easy. How we handle the interaction and growth of all these elements combine to make us the individuals we are. In therapy, I work on two distinct levels. One is the here and now: We discuss your everyday life stressors, anxieties, and sadness, and work on self-understanding and acceptance while developing coping skills. The other level is the examination of patterns and dynamics that have been built over the years as a result of your life experiences, both good and bad, and how your past influences the present. Sorting through these different factors helps us to arrive at the unique, authentic individual that you are. Book Your Initial Consultation Call Now! (201) 681-2896 | ![]() |

My Philosophy Patterns We create patterns of thinking, doing, and reacting when we are very young, but patterns can be changed. Often these patterns are defenses against things we can't tolerate or understand as young children. As adults, we can understand why we act and react in certain, unproductive ways, and we can create new, healthy ways of living. Archaic, childish defenses are replaced with mature, healthy behaviors. Relationships Friends and family are important keys to a happy, productive life. For many, attachment and connection to others add meaning and purpose. But relationships can be difficult, and it is vital to know how to communicate feelings and thoughts. Mindfulness Anxiety, stress, and depression prevent us from living in the moment. There is much to be enjoyed, savored, in our everyday lives when we learn how to attend to the people, places, and things around us. As children, we noticed tiny details of our environment. As adults, it is important to redevelop that skill. |
